File Picker can also be used to link to files in an external repository, if it has been enabled by your ambassador, such as Dropbox, Youtube, Wikimedia, Google drive.

How I did it:

    1. Logged into demo site as a teacher
    2. Cull My 2nd course
    3. Turned editing on
    4. In the second topic from the top I clickedAdd an activity or resources
    5. From the pop-up carte I cull File and clicked Add at the bottom of the dialog box.
    6. In the page that opened I filled in the name of the document (and a description).
    7. Opened Windows Explorer to display the file and dragged it to the box at the lesser of the windows
    8. Clicked Salvage and render to course the file appears on the site!
